About Us

Katherine Hosie is a trusted CEO Coach with many years’ experience coaching senior leaders across the U.S., particularly in San Francisco, Silicon Valley (including Palo Alto), New York City, and now Greenwich, Connecticut.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

Evidence-based coaching psychology and adult education underpin my approach. I hold a Master of Applied Science in Evidence-Based Coaching Psychology from the University of Sydney, with a Bachelor of Education (Adult Education) as my foundation.

Founded in 2003, coaching has been my calling for over two decades. By 2007 I found my niche in leadership coaching. By 2009, my work expanded to include CEO Coaching and C-Suite Coaching, then incorporated Founder Coaching in 2016.

I was formerly the Director of Professional Standards, and later President, International Coach Federation (ICF) Australasia where I led over 1,300 coaches. I studied Coaching Supervision through Oxford Brookes University and am trained to develop other coaches. However, I work with leaders.

I am a humanistic educator with a desire to share what works. We will elicit what is unique about you, so you can lead with that – effectively and sustainably. I will help you to know who you are, and be that on purpose.

These experiences, layered over decades, have shaped me into a CEO Coach with both depth and discernment – one who brings structure when needed, and space when that is wiser.

THE CLIENTS I ENJOY AS A CEO COACH

It was not my original goal to become a CEO Coach. I have simply found, over the years, that the most intelligent leaders are the ones I enjoy most – and help most profoundly.

I am trustworthy, non-judgmental but discerning, and non-competitive in my style. I trust my intelligence and experience, but I am not wedded to it. I particularly value working with leaders who welcome healthy debate in service of finding the best solution together. I enjoy being the person behind the leader.

What makes for a golden coaching partnership is mutual respect, admiration, and trust.

From coast to coast, I’ve coached leaders of dozens of nationalities. In broad strokes, West Coast leaders often bring visionary ambition, whilst those on the East Coast tend to ground that ambition in pragmatism and substance. I appreciate – and work well with – the strengths of both. Now based in Greenwich, I continue to support executives nationwide, both in person and virtually.

As a CEO Coach, what impresses me most is your honesty, introspection, and responsibility – including a willingness to do the reading and the work. If you’re ready to see yourself more clearly, act on those insights, and sacrifice your comfort for growth, we will be a powerful partnership.

Simply put, if you are sincere about becoming your best and committed to putting in the work, I will be your biggest champion, your mirror, and your trusted confidant.

WHO I AM

Most clients call me Kate. I’m an avid reader (literature, non-fiction, and research) and traveler who was raised in Australia.

Happily married, I’ve lived around the world. From 2013 to 2025, I was based in San Francisco and Palo Alto. I am now happily ensconced in verdant Greenwich, Connecticut.

I discovered coaching in 2002, when someone told me about their wonderful coach. Coaching at that time was a relatively new industry, and I’d only heard of it in passing. Initially skeptical, I agreed to meet him.

By the end of that first session, I had greater clarity than I’d had in years.

By 2003, my coach was asking for input on his coaching program, as I had been reading personal development since 1987. Shortly thereafter, he encouraged me to undertake my first coach training and become his “protégé.” I’ve always been grateful to him for that push.

As I gained experience, I became increasingly rigorous and committed to what works – not just what’s popular. As a CEO Coach, I see it as my responsibility, and my preference, to be a coaching purist – discerning about what is trustworthy and legitimate. At the same time, I know that sometimes a very unconventional approach can cut the Gordian Knot.

I particularly enjoy working with clients who have a faith of any kind, as this deepens the work – and a sense of humor, as why not?

I value wisdom, timelessness, strength, freedom, joy, and love. I am inspired by psychology and human excellence, including mature leadership and acts of courage, the well-written, art, photography, architecture, and design.

I am drawn to the beautiful and the good – or, as it relates to you, quality and integrity.

If you’re seeking a CEO Coach who brings rigor, warmth, and a deeply individualized approach – welcome. You’re in the right place.
